Signal Level Checks Internal Wireless:
We will come to site and perform a passive check of the signal levels in every area of your network. This will also include any interference caused by other wireless devices.
You will receive a report with detailed mapping showing what the current levels of signal are.
This will help us establish if there needs to be any changes made the the channel configuration of each AP or we need to move any to provide you with better coverage in any dead spots.
Signal Level Checks Point to Point Links:
Sometimes antennas come out of alignment causing your network performance to drop.
This can be caused by a number of things:
- Storm or high wind damage.
- Obstacles in the path.
- Damage to the antenna or cabling.
We will check the signal levels of your point to point or point to multipoint links against their installed signal levels. If there is an issue we will physically inspect the installation and identify if any damage has occured or if there is anything in the radio signal pathway.
Whilst antennas can be realigned, obstacles in the pathway, if permanent will need planning to see if we can move one or both antennas either to a differnet location on your roof or to go higher to get over the new blockage.
